i play regularly with a group of people in a format in which we improvise together and it is what it is--this is very satisfying to me, since i don't have enough time to try and get a band together that would only play my songs and the covers i'd like to do--this would be great if it happened, but i'm not holding my breath waiting for it or putting out any energy to make it happen. There would be no place for us to play, really--not since the ballroom scene of the late 60's/early 70's has there been the kind of space i'd feel comfortable in. PSYCHEDELIC ROCK MUSIC DOES NOT BELONG IN @#$%ING BARS!!!!
Amsterdam-style coffeehouses, yeah, but don't look for them on this side of the Atlantic (or at least the Canadian border) any time soon. This music is intended to assist people in opening completely, melting down, and other acts that are beyond the pale of normal social behavior. Freak freely!
